Tammy earned her BA and MA from Vermont Northern University in 1998 and began her career as a Student Assistance Counselor in a junior/senior high school, where she taught substance abuse prevention and offered counseling to adolescents. She later moved into an elementary school counseling role, teaching social skills, providing sexual abuse prevention education, and supporting children, families, and faculty with care and consistency. During this time, she also taught undergraduate courses, sharing her experience and passion for the counseling field with college students preparing for careers of their own.
After twenty years in the public school system, Tammy transitioned into private practice as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, working with individuals facing challenges related to alcohol and other substance use. Her practice has since grown to include mental health counseling with a strong focus on trauma recovery. She also incorporates hypnosis as part of her work, offering clients additional tools to support deeper healing and meaningful, lasting change.
Tammy continues to find great fulfillment in her private practice and considers it a privilege to walk alongside those seeking healing, clarity, and a better quality of life.
